Bear in the Woods
Two apparent attempts on his life are dismissed by Bryn Williams and his recorder group friends as accidents. It is only when he goes on a winter trip to America to fan the embers of an old flame that he begins to grasp the true extent of his predicament.
A professional assassin pursues him from Chicago to Detroit, to Salt Lake City and across the snow-laden mountains of Utah. He escapes and returns to London, where it seems the danger has passed. Perhaps it was after all a case of mistaken identity or a terrible misunderstanding. But when Bryn travels once more to New York, the nightmare starts up all over again.
Set in Britain and the USA during a Presidential election year in the near future, Bear in the Woods explores some of the darker and more dangerous connections within our two societies.
